WinCron® has
been the industry standard in task automation since 1996.
WinCron has a rich history and may well be installed on more systems than
any other 3rd party task automation software.
TaskGhost® is
specially designed for the scientific community with its ability to run
numerous concurrent tasks. TaskGhost's architecture is well suited for
monitoring applications.
WinCron® .NET is
the newest member of the WinCron family and by far the most powerful.
WinCron .NET has not only the concurrent capabilities of TaskGhost, but an
expressive language which far exceeds the capabilities of classic WinCron.
WinCron® .NET is fully programmable in C# and VB .NET and has no inherent
limitations. Any task that can be programmed in those languages (virtually
any task) can be designated as a 'Job' and fully controlled with WinCron .NET's
Cron style scheduling syntax.
WinCron .NET has no fancy Graphical User Interface to limit expressability,
but instead makes use of a standard, off-the-shelf telnet client for
familiar commandline administration.
